The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children between the ages of two and a half and 18 who have life-threatening medical conditions. Since 1980, 144,000 children from around the world have been reached, giving hope, strength and joy to sick children.
And this is exactly what they did for three year-old, Emily Guerrero, while receiving treatment for a rare type of cancer in Puerto Rico, she was visited by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. After asking her what her wish was the little girl replied without hesitation that she wanted a blue horse.

With the help of Jesús Ramos, owner of Parador Villas de Sotomayor in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, Alina Dávila, President of Belleza Plus, International and RUSK this imaginative dream came true. Emily and her family went to stay at Jesús Ramos’ Villa for a weekend where they spent quality time together. Alina Dávila was in charge of arranging for the hair colour, which RUSK generously supplied.

During the week before the visit, a test was done to see if the colour would be compatible with horsehair and that the dye did not affect the animal. With successful results the dream went ahead as planned.
“Rocky,” a beautiful white horse with blue eyes was dyed using RUSK’s Scream Color (Electric Blue, Atomic Magenta, Radical Yellow, Purple Passion and Silent Neutral). The entire process took seven hours but the timid laughter that erupted from Emily was worth the wait!
