The annual International Salon & Spa Expo (ISSE) is one of the biggest beauty shows in North America. Put on by the Professional Beauty Association, the ISSE 2008 took place from January 26th to 28th at the Long Beach Convention Center. Attendees enjoyed the international fashion theatre and the technical theatre, both showcasing trends from around the world. Detailed “how-to” stage education in the technical theatre and hands-on education seminars, as well as various complimentary hair, skin, nail and business education classes went on throughout the weekend. “We have much to be excited and proud of with ISSE 2008, with a sold-out show floor and expanded educational opportunities for stylists and salon owners” said Steve Sleeper, executive director for the Professional Beauty Association. There were over 465 exhibitors including Rusk.
The Rusk Design Team brought to life “Illusions” – a practice that combines cut and color to produce runway inspired looks. Bold shapes and bright hues transform looks from day to night.
