I'm going away and want to get my
face, arms, bikini, legs, and eyebrows
waxed. Do you recommend waxing all
of these areas on the same day or should
I have my lower body waxed one day
and my upper body and face waxed on
another? I am just worried that this may
be too much waxing at one time!
|
Is this your first time getting waxed? If so, I
wouldn't recommend getting everything done
at once, because you have never felt the sensation
one gets after waxing or how you will
react. But whether you get everything done or
just your body here are a few tips for aftercare:
- Remember to wear loose fitting clothing as
clinging clothes may bring heat to your body.
- Avoid a hot shower following the services.
Instead take a cool shower (or bath).
- No exercise for 24 hours and make sure
you stay away from foundation/makeup and
heavy creams that contain mineral oil. This
will clog your pores and won't allow your
skin to breathe.
Follow these tips and enjoy your great results!

Help! My brother's eyebrows are out of
control! He's a great looking guy but his
eyebrows connect to one another. He's
too shy to ask his hair dresser at the salon
to get them done. What do you suggest?
|
|
Why don't you try going to the salon
with him next time he gets his haircut? Try
to schedule a time that is not so busy. (Ask
his hairdresser what time she/he suggests.)This
will allow him the time to discuss the service
with the salon professional and after a bit of persuasion
he may just be talked into it. Reassure
him how handsome he will look when it's all
done. All the celebrities are doing it!

I'm in my late 30s and have been
noticing sporadic facial hair growing
on my chin. It seems as if one day it’s
not there and the next morning it
appears to be half an inch long!
What is the cause of this and how can
I stop it?
|
|
I truthfully don't think there is any way of
stopping this outburst of facial hair. It’s
hormonal and unless there is some miracle
drug out there that I don’t know about, you
will just have to let nature take its course. If
you are anything like me, the hair will need
to go as soon as you spot it. So, break out the
tweezers and remove the offending hair. If
you are uncomfortable about tweezing them
yourself, run to the nearest salon. They’ll
know exactly how to handle this 911.

I read in one of your previous articles
that you shouldn't wax when you have
your period. Why?
|
|
I suggest you schedule waxing one week after
the start of your period, and avoid waxing one
week before your period. This is recommended
if you are waxing large areas such as legs
and bikini. These areas will be much more
sensitive around that time of the month.
