BROWS AROUND
Whether offered discreetly in private rooms or celebrated openly at a designated brow bar, brow waxing has become a must-do add-on service for everyone who walks into a spa.

between $8 and $15 to wax regrowth.” For 24 hours following the service, Susanna recommends avoiding direct sunlight, tanning products and liquid makeup.

- As an alternative to alcohol, use Satin Smooth Satin Cleanser to gently cleanse the brow area.
- To determine eyebrow length, hold a ruler or wooden applicator parallel to your client’s nose and measure the distance between the points where the brow begins on each eye. A client whose eyes are close together may need a larger gap between her eyebrows to open up her face, while a narrower gap may be desirable for a client whose eyes are far apart.
- To determine the arch for each eye, place a ruler vertically from the outer edge of the nostril to the center part of the iris (colored part of the eye) and up to the eyebrow. Mark this spot with a dot to indicate the highest point for the arch.
- Match the wax to the skin type. For dry, sensitive skin, for example, choose Satin Smooth Ultra Sensitive Zinc Oxide Cream Wax.
- Apply the wax in one easy stroke, starting from the inner part of the brow and making sure to raise the wax at the highest part of the brow to reveal the arch that you marked.
- Finish the service by applying Satin Smooth Aloe Skin Soother to cool the skin, close pores and minimize redness.
