Reese Witherspoon reportedly launches her holiday season by throwing a Christmas caroling party. “I love to sing and have fun,” she once informed Extra.

Even though her family did not have a lot of money, Halle Berry says the holidays were a time to splurge. halle“My mother must have spent the entire year saving up for Christmas,” she told the Kansas City Star. “We always got everything we ever wrote on our list to Santa."

They’ve done seafood, tacos and chili. “We all decide what to have and then help make it,” Camille said. “It’s a fun Christmas bonding experience.”julia roberts quote cate

Cate Blanchett lamented to Oprah that falling in the middle of Australia’s summer makes Christmastime a challenge: “We have a traditional, big English roast, which no one wants to eat because it’s so hot!” love hewitt

A Tradition of Giving Back

Among the celebs who help to make the holidays bright for those less fortunate are Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott, who each year adopt a family—to “make sure they have presents under the tree and all the things they need for the holiday,” they told People—and Jennifer Love Hewitt, who reportedly shows up at the Los Angeles Mission every year to help serve food.

Lauren Conrad’s favorite food on the holiday table is the canned cranberry sauce. “I feel bad because my mother makes this beautiful gourmet meal!” she told a reporter. To recreate Lauren’s pretty waves with subtly festive pine streaks, Rusk Creative Team member Nury Lopez suggests following these steps:

what you need

  1. Ask your stylist to use Rusk’s Scream color, a semi-permanent color. The blue tone can be diluted with yellow to get that wintery green.
  2. Shampoo the hair with Deepshine Oil Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner.
  3. Spray a little bit of Rusk Thick.
  4. Apply a dollop of 2 parts Jele Gloss to 1 part Wired.
  5. Dry the hair with the Rusk CTC 7500-watt dryer—the ceramic properties will give you incredible shine—and create curl with the U-Styler.
  6. Finish with Being Sexy Hairspray.
