Feeling The Love

No matter what we do for a living, and no matter how we spend our spare time, we all enjoy a little romance in our lives. A candle-lit dinner for two, a weekend getaway to spend time together or a Valentine’s Day gift exchange helps us to remember to give our relationships top priority and keep the excitement alive.

Valentine’s Day gives both singles and couples an occasion to go for a new look, dress in something sexy—and flirt! Make an appointment with your stylist for a fresh color—become a fiery redhead, passionate brunette or blonde temptress—and a cut that brings out the color’s vibrance and dimension. At this time of year you may be winter-weary, and there’s nothing like a cut-and-color makeover to brighten your outlook until spring arrives. Then for ideas about after-hours wear, check page 30, where we provide a display of lingerie from across the globe.

While love may make the world go ’round, in the beauty industry we believe that education is what really makes it rock. Our Rusk trainers have been on a busy international travel circuit bringing the industry’s top education to platforms in Europe and Latin America. See all of the action on page 60.lee

The topic of love and romance makes this STYLE SOURCE issue timely, as my lovely wife Denise and I are celebrating our silver anniversary. We will probably mark the date with a little of everything—some quiet time to reflect on our loving partnership as well as a larger celebration when we can gather our three daughters and the other special people in our lives to share in our joy. Building a family and home life together has meant the world to both of us. In addition, Denise and I work together at Conair, the family business, which includes our hands-on direction of STYLE SOURCE. Between our rewarding work and the fun we have together, the 25 years have flown by. I suppose that’s what happens when you’re enjoying yourself!
