I've been waxing for some time and always use a soft wax when I do the bikini area, even when I am removing hair around the labia. Why is it recommended that I use a hard wax? What is the difference between the two?
If your Brazilians are coming out flawless and your clients are happy, then you might not want to change your method. But, I can honestly say from my experience that using a hard wax is less painful for your clients, especially when waxing
around the labia and inner portion of the thigh. Using a hard wax may take a little longer to apply and remove since you need to wax in smaller sections, but the results are better since the hard wax shrink wraps around the hair and pulls it out
from the root, which makes the hair grow slower and softer.

I normally shave my chest but would like to try waxing. How long does the hair have to be, how long will the results last and how much does it hurt?
If you've been shaving for a while then your hair must be pretty coarse. Wait until hair is about 1/4-inch before waxing. If it's longer than that your technician should trim the area; this will eliminate discomfort for you and
allow the technician to work faster. Avoid heat and direct sun exposure for at least 24-48 hours before your appointment. As for pain, ask the salon/day spa if they use a numbing spray to relieve discomfort. If not, take an ibuprofen 30
minutes before your session.

My new lover doesn't keep a hair-free pubic area, how do I get her to 'take it all off' without hurting her feelings?
Are you hair-free? Why don’t you experience it together? You may want to suggest this to her; you never know, she may like what she hears and schedule an appointment for the both of you.

I love bikini waxes but I always get breakouts about four to five days later and it usually lasts a week. How can I avoid this?
Try this: Exfoliate your bikini area two days after you get waxed. Keep exfoliating two to three times a week using a sugar scrub and a washcloth or a loofah brush. This will prevent your pores from clogging up with bacteria, allowing
hair to grow back freely and avoiding those pesky ingrowns. It also keeps your skin clean, soft and radiant.
