As a professional racecar driver, Shane Tucker knows about speed, safety and every facet of how his car works. But ask him about his hair and Tucker admits he knows nothing. Yet, that is.
Marketing through motor sports seems to be a focus point for many high-profile companies, and RUSK hopes to sponsor Tucker in future races.
“I am more than a racecar driver, I am the front person,” says Tucker. “Sure, my racecar does over 210 MPH in under six seconds,” he says. “The fans cannot see my face, my smile or my wirey hair as I fly down the strip, but they sure can see the corporate logos on the side of my racecar, flying colors that scream the brand identity. The fans are cheering on the car, the team. ‘Go! Go! Team RUSK!”
A second-generation driver, (his father, Rob Tucker, is a former Australian Pro Stock Champion and has been racing for 30 years) Tucker began his career at just 11 years old as a Junior Dragster. By the time he was 14, Tucker formed his own race team by sourcing together partnership sponsors.
